Terms and Conditions
By paying the initial vacation deposit, the client acknowledges they have read and accepted the following terms and conditions:
1. Deposit: A 30% deposit is due and payable upon booking of client’s tour. This deposit is non-refundable.
2. Payments: Electronic bank transfer, cheques and credit card payments are accepted. A 3% credit card charge is applicable.
3. Confirmation: The client’s booking is not accepted until the date shown on the confirmation invoice or email issued by Irish Golf Vacations. If the booking is not accepted the deposit will be refunded. All outstanding balances must be paid by client within 56 (fifty-six) days or 8 (eight) weeks before client’s scheduled arrival. The due date will be shown on the invoice provided by Irish Golf Vacations.
4. Invoice: Irish Golf Vacations will send email confirmations when appropriate deposits have been paid. If the booking is within 56 days / 8 weeks of departure then full payment is due. All outstanding amounts must be paid eight weeks before arrival. The precise date will be shown on the invoice.
5. Changes & Cancellation by the Client: The effective date of change or cancellation is the date that Irish Golf Vacations is advised in writing (letter/email/fax). If you decide to alter any material details after your booking has been accepted by Irish Golf Vacations, providing we are informed not later than 6 weeks prior to departure, these will be treated as a change and €30 administration fee per booking will be charged. However, any changes to a passenger’s name originally shown in the booking; or any alteration requested within 6 weeks of departure may be treated as cancellation.
6. Cancellation by the Client: If the client does not pay the balance of the booked vacation price at the prescribed time, Irish Golf Vacations reserves the right, after due written notice to the customer, to cancel the booking. In this event, or if the client cancels after the booking is accepted the deposit will be forfeited. Additionally, if the cancellation occurs for either reason, the following cancellation charges will be payable by the client: More than 8 weeks – Deposit Only Between 6-8 weeks – 50% of vacation price Between 4-6 weeks – 75% of vacation price Less than 4 weeks – 100% of vacation price Irish Golf Vacations will work with its clients to ensure any loss is minimised and will suggest alternative vacations/schedule if applicable – looking to maintain strong customer relations and business ethics.
7. Cancellation by Irish Golf Vacations: In the event of the tour cancellation by Irish Golf Vacations, a full refund will be given to the client and a written explanation is to be furnished. The refund will not cover third party expenses incurred by the client such as airline flight charges etc. We encourage the client to take adequate travel insurance to cover all needs.
8. Currency Fluctuations: The Euro is Irish Golf Vacation’s designated base currency (Ireland is a member of the European Monetary Union), however to facilitate ease of payment we also provide our clients with the option of paying in USD. Irish Golf Vacations will absorb a 2% movement in exchange rate. In the event there is a currency fluctuation which exceeds 2%, Irish Golf Vacations reserves the right to add the additional costs to the price of the client’s vacation package.
9. Force Majeure: Irish Golf Vacations accepts no responsibility for and shall not be liable in respect of loss or damage or changes caused by force majeure events such as strikes, riots, political unrest, war hostilities, or threat of war, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, fire, flood, weather problems or similar events beyond its control. Specifically, Irish Golf Vacations will not be liable for golf course closures on the day of play due to bad weather or any other act. Irish Golf Vacations will work with service providers to ensure all is done to accommodate its clients. Irish Golf Vacations will not refund the client for missing tee times / bookings when it can be reasonably ascertained that Irish Golf Vacations provided adequate transportation/notice to the client of the appointment in question.
10. Car Rental: Drivers must be 23 years of age and hold a full drivers license. The maximum age is 70 years (subject to car rental provider rules), although some exceptions can rise the age to 75.
11. Travel Insurance: Irish Golf Vacations strongly advises that adequate and comprehensive travel insurance be taken out to cover the trip. Irish Golf Vacations will not be held liable for inadequate insurance coverage for the customer. In every instance, Irish Golf Vacations will abide by the spirit of, and the law, and will endeavour to arrive at satisfactory outcome for all parties.
12. Itineraries & Confirmations: Once a tour is booked and the deposits paid, Irish Golf Vacations will create a password protected “trip page” for the client or group. All confirmations and reservations, including the detailed itinerary will be reflected on the trip page for clients and groups. Irish Golf Vacations does not send out packets or brochures, but recommends this information be accessed via the internet or from the trip page. Unlike the United States, many golf courses, hotels and other facilities in Ireland do not provide immediate responses or confirmations.
