Connemara Championship Golf Links is located in Co. Galway. Connnemara itself is a renowned Irish speaking area – known as “An Ghealthact”. The course itself is a 27-hole designed links challenge shaped around the breathtaking scenary of Atlantic coast the the 12 Bens Mountain range. Rock is a common “hazard” in Connemara but it adds to the experience – this is golf in a location that is hard to rival.

The back nine of the orignal 18 (an additional nine opened in 2000) is renowned as being a home stretch to rival any other links in the country. The topography of Connemara is relatively flat and devoid of dunes you would associate with a typical links – what Connemara gives the visitor is golf played in a magical surround in a beautiful part of Ireland. There is so much to do and see in the area – it certainly is one area of Ireland that has kept one foot in the past, trying to maintain our history and traditions.
