Obviously not very many on here watching the early release. I actually chose to watch it this morning instead of EastEnders - which I will watch later. I don't know if it is a permanent change or not, but I certainly much prefer it. I can take or leave Corrie in its current state, but being able to watch it either the same day, or if I really have to the next day in the daytime without ads makes me much more inclined to watch it. While I'm not sure how realistic or otherwise it is the current story with Gemma is the most interesting one they have done in a very long time - interesting timing though. And today's episode has something I haven't seen for a while (although I haven't been watching regularly)
a scene in a real location (I think!) outside the set that isn't just the middle of nowhere.

I will give it a chance during the euro 2024 and if this does become permanent I just keep early releases of Emmerdale and Coronation Street as weekly update instead of daily. If the numbers improves I will keep it daily.

Wonder if Cassie and Steve will get together?

I definitely think they are heading towards cassie and Steve.
Does anybody else think this Joel plot is just bizarre. He's literally pouring whiskey into a young girls drink in the middle of the afternoon having only met her once.
On no planet is that OK

The scenarios are still a bit too off, but I thought there was a little bit of an improvement in the writing in this episode. Characters were talking a little bit more like normal human beings, and with a very tiny hint of how they used to talk in Corrie before it all went completely daft. Not there yet of course, but very small cause for a little bit of hope. Until the next time probably.

Second episode in a row I've felt a definite improvement in dialogue - hope it continues - I even laughed a couple of times. However the stories continue to be horrendous. I really don't get the point of this one with Bernie and Kit and soap trope number one - taking the side of the newcomer over the person they've always known. It's very annoying.

Ugh. After two episodes where the stories were still bad but there were glimmers of improvement in the dialogue, today we're back to the worst of the idiotic, stupid, horrible rubbish that it usually churns out.

The lack of responses to this thread say it all, the show is shit and nobody is rushing to watch it. I prefer EastEnders with my breakfast myself. How anyone can absorb an hour of Corrie misery before going about their day is beyond me - way too depressing!

I agree, it's definitely telling.

It was basically only me who commented, but I haven't watched the last couple of episodes. I tend to come and go with Corrie and watch it now and again, and the spoilers for the Toyah situation sounded too horrendous to bother. If it was in a good place though I do prefer having the option of early release - I watch both EastEnders and Casualty that way.

The pizza place was in Leicester so she obviously spent some time there.

Mollie Gallagher was terrible in today's episode.
