FEATURED COURSES IN IRELAND
As you can imagine we at Irish Golf Vacations are often asked where is our favourite area to golf in Ireland?…. in reality every area in Ireland has something to offer for every avid golfer visiting our shores but our personal favourite and one we do not hesitate to recommend is the Northwest or Ireland. The area itself has an abundance of brilliant links courses such as Ballyliffin, Portsalon, Narin and Portnoo, Donegal, Rosses Point and Rosapenna.
   If we just take Rosapenna as an example – here you have two 18-hole championship (this word is often over used but not in this instance) and a 9-hole academy course overlooking Sheephaven Bay in County Donegal. The Sandy Hills Links (Pat Ruddy designed) is about ten years old and has a fearsome reputation of what links golf can be about – the second course – Old Tom Morris has been redesigned adding nine new holes and has brought the course to the standard it deserves when using Old Tom Morris’s name.   If you feel the Northwest is an area you’d like to explore, then let Irish Golf Vacations make the plans with you
